Friendly Phone Calls

Friendly calls are free and designed to break isolation and improve the emotional well-being of elderly individuals living alone at home.

These calls allow seniors to communicate freely in a caring and respectful environment, through a scheduled phone call every two weeks or once a month, based on the person's needs. We listen to the individual, provide useful information, or discuss a topic that is important to them, according to their preferences.

This free service is open to any French-speaking or Francophile individual aged 55 and older who lives alone, whether or not they have mobility issues, are suffering from a chronic illness, are recovering, or have limited contact or opportunities to go out and socialize with others. Each session lasts a maximum of 1 hour, with a total of up to 2 hours per month. Topics related to politics, gender, or others will not be discussed.
